Fanatec Brings New ClubSport GT Cockpit to CES 2025

Sim racing giant Fanatec brought its latest rig to CES and it’s already the number one item on our 2025 Christmas list despite the year just starting. It’s called the ClubSport GT Cockpit and it’s the first major release from Fanatec since it was recently acquired by gaming PC accessory company, Corsair. As such, the ClubSport GT Cockpit is also the first product that both companies collaborated on during development.

At its core, the ClubSport GT Cockpit is a sim rig frame that users can customize to their heart’s content. It’s made from a 50mm tublar steel frame which Fanatec says is engineered to resist flexing when paired with high-torque sim racing wheels. It’s also designed to be easy for one person to assemble (and disassemble), though to our eyes it looks like anyone who buys this sim cockpit will need to be real comfortable with tighening allen screws.

The ClubSport GT Cockpit has an included vesa-compatible monitor mount that can accomodate monitors that have 100 x 100mm vesa mounting holes. Fanatec says it can handle 32″ and 49″ ultra-wide monitors. The cockpit can also accomodate multiple monitor set ups with the help of some optional accessories. Thanks to input from Corsair, the cockpit also has integrated cable management via openings to allow cables to run through the frame tubes. There’s also a ventilated power brick holder built into the heel plate to help keep tempratures under control.

We would have loved to see some compatibility or integration with a motion set up so those who really want to go for the full experience can do so without having to buy a new cockpit, but Fanatec made no mention of that in regard to the ClubSport GT Cockpit. Perhaps that can come later via add on accessories?

If you’re interested in adding the Fanatec ClubSport GT Cockpit to your sim racing arcenal, you can pre-order it now for roughly $950 ahead of its January 21st, 2025 release date.
