Cyberpunk 2077 Themed Porsche 911 Revealed [VIDEO]
It’s safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is easily the most anticipated video game of this year. Maybe even the last few years.
As we get closer to the November 19th launch date, developer CD Projekt Red is getting more comfortable showing off more of the game they’ve spent so much time working on.
I’ve been pretty hyped on this game myself and when it was revealed that vehicles would play a significant role in the game I’ve been even more excited for it.
Today it was revealed that in addition to the fictional, not-too-distant future cars in the game, CD Projekt Red got the green light from Porsche to include the iconic 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 Johnny Silverhand’s Porsche 911 Turbo
The 911 Turbo belongs to Johnny Silverhand a major character in the game (played by Keanu Reeves) who takes on the role of a guide and inner voice for the main character. Johnny was a rockstar when he was alive so in pure rockstar fashion he wanted a classic car to stand out from the tech laden vehicles he would have been surrounded by.
To celebrate the collaboration, a real-life version of Johnny’s Porsche 911 Turbo was built and will be on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart from October 15th to October 22nd.
The Johnny Silverhand 911 Turbo is stock for the most part. Which I totally understand. A mint condition 930 model 911 Turbo is increasingly rare these days keeping it close to original as possible is probably the right move.
Though, there are a few exterior modifications which is what gives the car its Cyberpunk personality. It has a custom livery inspired by Johnny Silverhand. Each color and decal is a symbolic element of Johnny’s personality.
The Green/Khaki color in the rear of the car is representative of Johnny’s military past, the red represents his rock band “SAMURAI”, and then obviously there is the sliver which comes from his cybernetic arm; hence his name “Johnny Silverhand”.
The more observant will notice the decals on the car which are meant to represent the various tattoos Johnny has picked up in his lifetime.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like this car will be given away like the Quadra-inspired Mustang revealed by Rockstar Energy a while ago.
Though, I’m hoping that at the very least, CD Projekt RED will bring this car to America to show it off for a while after it’s stint in Germany.

Cyberpunk 2077 Rides Of The Dark Future
The Johnny Silverhand Porsche 911 was not the only vehicle revealed today by CD Projekt Red. During the latest episode of “Night City Wire” the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 took a deep dive into the cars and other vehicles players can expect to experience in the game.
There will be five classes of cars that players can drive in “Night City”: Economy, Executive, Heavy Duty, Sport, and Hypercar.
The Economy class is the bottom of the barrel. The cars are cheap, probably slow, but offer a lot of utility. Some of them are kei-car style and small allowing it to go places where other cars can’t go. Others are a bit larger which may be helpful in carrying items or other people.
The Executive class is the opposite of Economy. Imagine the over-the-top land-yacht Cadillacs from the 70s combined with current long wheel-base luxury cars like the BMW 7 series and then imagine that combination 57 years into the future.
The Heavy Duty class is just how it sounds. This class is all large armored trucks and vans that can plow through anything. They will take a lot of damage and keep going. Though the trade off is that they will likely be slow and hard to maneuver.
The Sport class is where you would find cars like the Quadra or Johnny Silverhand’s Porsche 911 turbo. Sport cars have a balance of speed and tech. They can also be tuned and modified for street racing and probably a bunch of other fun illegal stuff.
The Hypercar class seems to be a combination between sport and heavy duty. Hypercars are expensive but they have a lot of tech, decent speed, and some armor. These cars will likely be the most difficult to attain in the game.

The cars are just the tip of the iceberg. There will be motorcycles and possible other vehicle types as well. You can watch the full episode of Night City Wire here to get more insight on how the game designers created the vehicles and how they will factor into Cyberpunk 2077‘s gameplay.
