It took all the police chasing goodness from the original 1998 title and got a bright shiny new coat of updated graphics . That included a 4K/60fps targeted resolution and frame rate for the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles.
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered also included all of the original DLC from the 2010 version of the game and updates to the photo mode, new achievements, and a new car wrap custom graphic mode. It also has EA’s “Autolog” asynchronous multi-player mode.
If you haven’t had a chance to pick up the game yet but you have a subscription to the EA Play game service then we have good news.
Today EA announced that Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is coming to EA Play for free on June 24th.
If you’re unaware, EA Play is a paid membership service that gives its members early access to new games, discounts, and a list of games that they can download at any time and play for no additional cost.
It’s very similar to Xbox Game Pass. In fact, if you happen to have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, then you already have access to EA Play as it is included in that service.
We’re pretty embarrassed to admit that we haven’t played Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered yet. However, now it looks like EA taking away all excuses so we’ll finally jump into it later this month.
