We took a deep dive into Hot Wheels Unleashed not too long ago after the first gameplay video was revealed. During that trailer launch we learned a lot about the game including its “drift and boost” mechanics, how many cars would be available at launch, and the track editor.
We also found out that there would be six different “environments” that the crazy, iconic, orange Hot Wheels tracks would live in. The first gameplay trailer showed off the “Garage” environment and the developers said there would be a customizable “home base” environment as well. Beyond that we didn’t get to see any of the other four environments, until now.
A new gameplay trailer was dropped on YouTube yesterday that showed off the “Skyscraper” environment and it looks bonkers in the best way possible. Imagine being a kid and getting the chance to take over a construction site on the top of a high-rise building in a major city. That is what the Skyscraper environment is in a nutshell. The track will weave over and under I-beams all hanging above the clouds.
It looks just as fun as it sounds. Particularly interesting is the fact that this new gameplay trailer shows off more than just the Skyscraper environment, it also gives a glimpse at a few new previously unseen Hot Wheels cars such as the “Fast Gassin'” fuel truck for example.
We also see a new track mechanic with what magnetic strips that keep the cars stuck to the track when things get inverted. Check it out in the new Hot Wheels Unleashed trailer below.

Larkspur, Calif. (April 29, 2021) – Mattel and Milestone today released a new Hot Wheels Unleashed™ gameplay trailer unveiling its second stunning gameplay environment, the Skyscraper.
After revealing the rusty and dark Garage, with its underground mood, it is now time to have a look at this new environment where verticality becomes the protagonist. Set in a construction site, Skyscraper will include tracks set on three different floors of the building under construction, with areas that will definitely test players’ fear of heights.
The new gameplay video also unveiled six new vehicles out of the 60+ plus vehicles available at launch. The new cars revealed are: Bump Around™, Mountain Mauler™, Sandivore™, Boom Car™, Buns of Steel™, Fast Gassin™ and Motosaurus™.
