Number 001 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition Up For Raffle [VIDEO]
Honda announced the Civic Type R Limited Edition last year and it sent the hardcore H fans into an immediate frenzy. Despite not having any major mechanical changes, if you put “Limited Edition” and “Civic Type R” in the same sentence, people are going to want it.
Furthermore, while there aren’t any major changes from a “standard” Civic Type R and the Civic Type R Limited Edition, there are some changes. The first and most obvious is the very bright “Phoenix Yellow” color which is exclusive to the limited edition.
Sharp eyes will also notice a set of exclusive BBS forged wheels wrapped in “extra sticky” Michelin tires. Beyond that, there has been a subtle weight reduction resulting in a curb weight that is 50lbs less than a standard Civic Type R.
Beyond that, the chassis on the Civic Type R Limited Edition has been tuned to make it a bit tighter and sharper on the track.
It all sounds great right? Well there is a catch. When Honda says “Limited Edition” they really mean it. Only 600 examples of the Civic Type R Limited Edition will make there way to the USA.
That mean’s it will be extremely hard to get and will likely have massive dealer mark ups due to the high demand.

Proceeds from this giveaway are going to the Thurgood Marshal College Fund (TMCF). TMCF is the largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. The TMCF does scholarships, capacity-building and research initiatives, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships. The organization also connects students with top employers seeking talent for competitive internships and job opportunities.
