Hype: Turn 10 Studios Announces Porsche Expansion And Forza 6 APEX For PC (Video)
Well, Amazon leaked it a while ago but yesterday Microsoft made it official: the Porsche Expansion for Forza Motorsport 6 is here! The expansion brings 21 Porsches spanning several decades and one new track: Virginia International Raceway all for just $19.99. The expansion covers everything from the classic ’57 356A Speedster to the legendary 1987 Porsche 959 supercar. It really is a great mix and the addition of VIR doesn’t hurt either. Also considering the price (roughly .95 cents per car) the expansion is a pretty good deal too! But wait there’s more! Turn 10 Studios also announced Forza Motorsport 6 APEX.
What is Forza Motorsport 6 APEX you ask? Imagine a scaled down version of Forza Motorsport 6 (63 cars and six tracks) but made for PC! Yes, Forza Motorsport 6 APEX is the first Forza game for PC and can take full advantage of beefy gaming computer set ups thanks to its use DirectX 12. If you have a gaming rig that can handle it, you can run Forza 6 APEX at 4K resolution! That isn’t even the best part. The best part is that it is all free! Yep, Forza 6 APEX is free to play with cars and tracks likely to incorporated into the game as micro-transactions. The team at Turn 10 also hinted that future console Forza games will have PC counterparts as well. How cool is that?
