Trio of Toy Story Themed Porsche 911s Go To Infinity and Beyond
If there is one thing we love around here, it’s when cars co-market with movies, so a trio of Porsches themed after Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie definitely hit for us. This trio of custom 911s is a result of Porsche’s partnership with Disney and Pixar to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Toy Story just before the release of Toy Story 5 on June 19th. Oh, by the way, there is a chance for you to own one of them.
Buzz Lightyear 911 GT3 RS
We’re going to stand on business and say this Buzz Lightyear GT3 RS might just have the coolest livery ever seen on a Porsche. Come at us in the comments. Besides the GT3 RS’s lines naturally evoking Buzz’s spacesuit, the color scheme suits the cutting-edge sports car beautifully. The body panels are painted in a combination of white, Green Yellow, and Lizard Green to match the colorway of Buzz’s suit. The lower rear wing element is painted in white and Fire Red to match Buzz’s wings.
Inside, the Buzz-themed colors continue with green accents on the door opening loops, lizard green seatbelts, and green stitching on the dashboard. The seats, door trims, and dashboard are upholstered in Pebble Grey leather and Arctic Grey Race-Tex. The upper sections of the seats are fitted with Violeta leather to match the purple elements of Buzz’s spacesuit. Opening the doors reveals illuminated door sills featuring Buzz’s catchphrase, “To Infinity and Beyond!” Finally, there is a one-of-one inscription with a custom Buzz Lightyear motif created by Bob Pauley, Production Designer at Pixar and Buzz Lightyear’s original designer.
Naturally, there are a few easter eggs hidden throughout the livery design. For example, the magnesium Weissach Package wheels feature center caps with the “Space Ranger” logo. Those wheels are wrapped in bespoke Goodyear tires with custom-molded “Lightyear” branding on the sidewalls, each tire featuring its own easter egg design hidden within the rubber.
Jessie 911 Targa 4 GTS
Jessie the cowgirl is honored with a Targa 4 GTS painted in a custom, brand-new color called “Jessie White Metallic,” which is white with a pearl overlay, a reference to the pearl buttons on Jessie’s western shirt. The front grill, side rockers, and rear fascia are painted in 944 Cobalt Blue Metallic while the front compartment and rear decklid are painted Atacama Yellow with GTS Red pinstriping. The exterior colors and design are all meant to directly reference Jessie’s cowgirl outfit, down to the GTS red side view mirrors, which evoke Jessie’s cowgirl hat. Tying it all together is that the “targa” emblem on the targa bar is replaced with a custom “Jessie” emblem.
The interior looks fresh out of a roundup. There is a mix of custom Dark Night Blue, Bordeaux Red, and Pebble Grey leather with stitching in Pebble Grey throughout the cabin. The center panels of the seats and door panels are upholstered with denim, but if for some reason none of that drives the point home, you can just glance down at the black and white cowhide pattern floormats.
Woody 911 Carrera T
Woody’s 911 Carrera T is relatively subtle compared to the Buzz GT3 RS and Jessie Targa 4 GTS, but on closer inspection the details stand out. The most obvious detail is the exterior paint, which combines Golf Blue, White, and Dark Sea Blue with a textured effect resembling denim, a reference to Woody’s cowboy jeans. The theme continues with Woody’s name spelled out in Fire Red Graphics on both doors. One of the coolest features, in our opinion, is the two-toned wheels with the Aurum-painted center resembling Woody’s sheriff star badge.
The interior features a combination of vintage brown leather (a first for Porsche), cowhide pattern floormats, and a red grid pattern printed on Speed Yellow leather in the doors to match Woody’s shirt.
All Three Porsches are for Sale
The trio of Porsches you see here will make their red carpet debut at the Hollywood premiere of Toy Story 5, but there is a chance you can have one of them in your driveway after the big event. All three vehicles are being sold with proceeds going to benefit a trio of great causes, including the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The exact details of when and how the cars will be sold are yet to be released, but we’ll follow the story and update you once we know more. In the meantime, we’ll be daydreaming about driving that Buzz Lightyear Porsche GT3 RS To Infinity and Beyond.
