WATCH: F1 25 Trailer From EA Sports Reveals New Story Mode
We’re only two races in to the 2025 season of F1 and it’s already been a roller coaster of emotions, controversy, and drama. Just as fans are gearing up to what is shaking out to be a very interesting Japanese Grand Prix, EA Sports has dropped the official reveal trailer for F1 25, coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S May 30th, 2025.
The trailer features 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton sporting his new Scuderia Ferrari kit while taking a quick tour through F1 25‘s new features. There isn’t a ton of gameplay shown in the trailer but what can be seen easily shows that the EGO engine developed by Codemaster has gotten an upgrade with improved graphic fidelity. Tracks and environments have been scaned with LiDAR to increase authenticity according to EA Sports.
The “Braking Point” story mode will return in F1 25 and this time the Konnersport team is no longer an underdog. It’s now battling for championships, but “a dramatic event” throws the team into chaos,” according to EA Sports. In a twist, it appears that the APXGP team featured in the upcoming F1 movie from Warner Bros and Apple will also play a role in the story in chapters that will be released post-launch. The game devs also confirmed that the “My Team” mode is returning which allows the players to try their hand at being an F1 team owner with F1 25 offering more roles and responsibilities this time around.
Finally, there are a few perks available for those who pre-order F1 25 ahead of it’s May release. Pre-ordering the digital “Iconic Edition” will net you the ability to use 2025 F1 car liveries in F1 24‘s time trial mode and a one-month trial to the F1 TV Pro streaming service. The Iconic Edition also comes with a 3-days early access, a Lewis Hamilton Iconic Pack, F3 driver icons for My Team Mode, and more perks tied to the F1 film.
EA Sports says it will share more info on F1 25 through a series of Deep Dive videos that will give more glimpses at gameplay, features, and likely behind the scenes of the game’s development.
