Ferrari Coming To Fortnite?
Fortnite is easily one of the biggest video games on the planet Earth. It’s on just about every video game console, PCs and smartphones.
As of 2020, there are approximately 350 million registered user accounts in Fortnite and at any given time there can be over 6 million active players. So naturally, the game makes a pretty good marketing platform. Fortnite has had cross promotions with Marvel, Star Wars, DC, Rick and Morty, films like Tenet, sports stars like LeBron James, and more.
There have even been in-game concerts with huge music acts like Travis Scott and “Marshmello.”
It looks like Ferrari is the next brand to jump in on the Fortnite cross-promotion craze. Today both Fortnite and Ferrari both released a teaser image via Twitter that seems to be an in-game shot of a Ferrari fender with the iconic “prancing horse” crest.
Neither Ferrari nor Fortnite has indicated exactly what the cross-promotion will entail or when it will be available. If we had to guess, we would speculate that the new Ferrari 296 GTB will come to the game as a vehicle can drive as they explore the map.
It would be neat if the collab also included the ability for players to choose Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc avatars but we don’t think it will quite go to that level.
Either way, we’re interested to see how this unfolds. Do you play Fortnite? What do you think automotive brands doing cross-promotions like this? Let us know in the comments or tweet to us at @MotorworldHype.
