The Petersen Automotive Museum has been doing their part to make sure that enthusiasts like us can still enjoy checking out rare and significant cars while staying safe at home. The global pandemic has really made us become more creative in how we engage each other and share experiences. It’s kind of bittersweet but I can always appreciate innovation in different forms.
The Petersen Automotive Museum has decided to bridge that “in-person” gap by producing a series of “virtual tours”. For example, the Petersen did a full 2-hour tour video of their own museum, including the vault recently.
While that, in and of itself is pretty awesome, one of the benefits of doing a “virtual” tour is that the Petersen can now provide tours of cars that aren’t even at their location!
The Petersen has launched a series of garage tours, in which they visit other noteworthy collections for their audience. It is all live on their YouTube channel right now for your viewing pleasure.
The latest garage tour episode is all about Magnus Walker’s legendary Porsche collection.
For those who don’t know, Magnus Walker is a former fashion designer who also happens to be a serious Porsche fanatic. He has built quite the collection of Porsches over time but he’s never actually shown off that collection publicly. Until now, that is.
The Petersen Automotive Museum has convinced Walker to finally show off his full collection and his garage in this exclusive tour video.
If you enjoy eclectic collections or you are a huge Porsche fan then you are definitely going to want to watch this garage tour video, like right now.
Magnus’ collection spans decades of iconic Porsches, including cars from his “outlaw” collection that have his personal touch. He has also has dedicated air-cooled and water-cooled segments of his collection. So there is literally something for just about every type of Porsche fan here.
So, I’m going to stop talking now so you can go ahead and start watching. Beneath the Magnus Walker garage tour video, I’ll also embed the first three garage tour episodes so you can watch it all and get caught up in one spot.
