Codemasters has kicked off our Friday with a fresh look at Hanoi Circuit which is the second of the two new tracks coming to F1 2020. In addition to screen shots of the 23 turn course, Codemasters also gave us gameplay video featuring a Hanoi hot lap with Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari.
From the looks of things Hanoi will be a very technical course. Though not nearly as narrow as Monaco, Hanoi isn’t the widest track on the schedule either. With 23 turns finding your marks and identifying any potential passing spots beyond the two DRS zones on the main straight and back straight.
I would look closely at the line taken in the hot lap video and take notes for those looking to set their own fast times once F1 2020 releases in July!
Alright I’m going to stop typing now. Check out the gameplay video and screenshot gallery below!

F1 2020 Serves Up a Taste of Vietnam with Hanoi Circuit Reveal
Larkspur, Calif. (May 29, 2020) – Codemasters® today announces the second new circuit to be featured in F1® 2020, the official videogame of the 2020 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™. Having revealed Circuit Zandvoort earlier in the campaign, the development team heads to Vietnam for Hanoi Circuit. This city location fuses a street circuit’s characteristics with a permanent track layout. The lap, recorded by the F1 2020 development team, features Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
Hanoi Circuit is 5.613km long, features 23 turns and takes inspiration from iconic F1 circuits such as Suzuka, Monaco and Nürburgring. Designed for action and overtaking, with two incredibly long straights, it promises to be one of the fastest circuits in the F1 calendar. With one of the shortest pit lanes, which removes both the final and first corners, pit-stop strategy could play a pivotal role in staying ahead of the competition.
“We’re always excited to create new experiences for our players. Hanoi Circuit delivers both thrills and challenges, set against the backdrop of the stunning city skyline,” said Codemasters’ F1 franchise Game Director, Lee Mather. “Hanoi Circuit is an adrenaline rush with high speeds, long straights and heavy braking zones, but it will punish anyone who doesn’t respect the walled sections.”
F1 2020 will release on Friday, July 10, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox One X, Steam (PC), and Google Stadia (MSRP $59.99). Players who purchase the F1 2020 Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition (MSRP $69.99) will receive exclusive content and three days early access.
