LA Auto Show: The Grand Tour Opens “The Mayhem Hall Pub” On The Show Floor
The Grand Tour’s second season is just a few short weeks away. December 8th 2017 to be exact. To celebrate, the crew has taken over a small nook of the LA Auto Show and turned it into an authentic British Pub dubbed “The Mayhem Hall Pub”.
And when I say “authentic” I mean authentic! Everything from the dimly lit atmosphere, to the food, to the passive aggressive annoyance with Americans, this is probably exactly what you’d find in some random corner of Oxfordshire.
The Mayhem Hall Pub is open to all journalists during the media days of the LA Auto Show and once inside you can do everything from try out British pub food staples like Fish ‘n Chips, or you can pull up to the bar and get yourself a mug of Guinness or one of three beers themed after GT’s hosts.
You can also charge your phone and bum off their wifi while you eat. Though, despite being called the “Mayhem Hall” there are still strict rules as seen above.
Though, The Mayhem Bar is more than just a clever marketing activation (although it is quite clever), its also there to serve a noble purpose. At one end of the bar is a photobooth area where patrons can take pictures with standees of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, & James May.
If you take a picture, and post it with #TheGrandTour hashtag, Amazon will donate money to Oxfam, a collective of charitable organizations fighting hunger and poverty. To see my pics make sure you follow us on twitter and Instagram at @MotorworldHype.
The Mayhem Hall Pub will be open during each press day so chances are, I’ll be back! I want to thank The Grand Tour and Amazon Video for inviting me to the Pub!
If you want to watch The Grand Tour, its viewable exclusively for Amazon Prime members on Amazon Video.
