Hype: New Cars 3 Trailer Shows Just How Much Lightning McQueen Is Up Against

Cars 3 is getting closer and as it draws near Pixar and Disney are giving audiences a closer look at what Lightning McQueen is going to face this time around.  The previous trailers hinted that besides dealing with getting older Lightning will have to face younger, fiercer competition.  A new trailer released over the weekend reveals all the ways that the new hot shot “Jackson Storm” is better than Lightning McQueen in almost every technical aspect.  He has a higher top speed, less drag, more downforce, etc.

McQueen is really going to have his work cut out for him!  Another interesting tidbit is that so far we have seen very little of Lightning’s Radiator Springs friends in the trailers, which leads us to believe this next film is going to be very focused on Lightning and his struggle to stay competitive with the new generation of race cars.  We’re pretty excited to see how it all shakes out!  Cars 3 is set to release on June 16th, 2017.  To see the new trailer just scroll below.
