Hype: Transformers The Last Knight Trailer Dropped And I Don’t Even Know Anymore

I really liked the first Transformers movie.  I kind of  liked the second Transformers movie.  I didn’t like the third Transformers movie.  I…couldn’t believe they made a fourth ****ing Transformers movie.

After that though, I got pretty excited for the future of the Transformers film franchise.  Why?  Because there were tales and rumors that the fifth film wouldn’t have any humans in it at all and it would just be robots fighting each other in space.  I also heard that all these highly sought after writers were hired by Paramount to do this cool “writer’s room” and an awesome script would come out of it.

Then, it was announced Mark Wahlberg was coming back.  Then, it was announced the movie would take place on earth.  Then it was announced that KIng Arthur, Dragons, and Nazis would be in the movie…  You can see where I’m going with this.  However, I decided to take all the “WTFs” floating around in my head and push them away to have an open mind about this.  I figured I’ll just wait for the first trailer and go from there.  Besides, say what you want about Michael Bay, the man knows how to make an awesome trailer.

Then, the trailer came out yesterday…  Here, just watch it below real quick if you haven’t already and we’ll pick it up there.

…So, yeah.

I am not even sure where to start.  Things started off ok despite the weird music.  But after that it was just random scene with explosion after random scene with explosion.  We do get a glimpse of some of the main characters like Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.  Though that was kind of weird too because in the beginning of the trailer it appears as if Optimus is dead but by the end he is alive, well, and trying to kill Bumblebee for some reason.  The point is, this trailer is kind of a mess.

Though messy, this trailer actually has me quite hopeful.  Why?  Because the last three movies had amazing trailers but all ended up disappointing me.  I figure, if this trailer sucks then maybe that means the movie will actually be good this time.

If nothing else, at least I know there will be some cool cars to look at.  God, I’m actually going to spend money on a Transfomers film again aren’t I? Please be good. Please be good. Please be good…
