2026 Nissan Z Heritage Edition Pays Homage to 90s 300ZX

If you are already excited about the fact that a manual transmission Nissan Z NISMO is on the way, then you’re going to be thrilled with this news. Nissan has just revealed that it’s giving the 300ZX its flowers via the 2026 Heritage Edition Z. This limited model pays homage to the 300ZX with a few design nods but also has a massive Nissan GT-R call-back as well.

Before you get too excited, you should know that the Heritage Edition for the 2026 Nissan Z is an appearance package. There are no performance enhancements to speak of. Not even an upgraded exhaust. However, there are still more than a few features here to grab the interest of Z-car fans.

Things start off with a set of 19-inch bronze wheels from RAYS with bright red brake calipers living inside each wheel well. For downforce—and style—a carbon fiber rear spoiler is fitted onto the decklid. One of the most fun throw backs is the “Twin turbo” badging and graphics done in the same font from the 90s 300ZX.

The most noticeable exterior change is the Midnight Purple paint. Which left me scratching my head a bit. I’ll explain for the youth out there reading this. Midnight Purple is a color that is typically seen as a hallmark for the Nissan GT-R. So, including it here isn’t necessarily a nod to the 300ZX as it was never offered in that color from the factory.

Regardless, Midnight Purple is still a very rare and highly sought-after factory color. Despite hue not entirely accurate to Z-Car history, I don’t imagine very many people will complain about its inclusion here.

If you’re looking to grab a Heritage Edition for yourself, the package will set you back $2,940 and is only available on the Performance trim which starts at $52,970. So, you’re looking at a total price tag of $55,910 before destination, taxes, and possible dealer mark ups. Hopefully most people who want this set up can get it for under $60k out the door.
