Lamborghini x Yohji Yamamoto Collaboration Teased

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about a good ol’ high-fashion exotic car collaboration so it seems about right that we’re due for one.

The hugely successful Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto is teasing a project with Lamborghini that will be revealed…at some point? I’m not exactly sure to be honest.

Yamamoto has only released two images to tease the collaboration: one of the Lamborghini badge in greyscale (seen in the feature image of this post), and another image that seems to be teasing what could possibly be a vinyl wrap.

The wrap has various Katakana and Kanji characters which translate to words and phrases like “big”, “powerful laughter”, and “romance grey”.

Hypebeast suspects that Yamamoto-san’s Lamborghini project may be based on a classic model rather than a current one. Apparently the Japanese designer finds modern car design to be “ugly”.

Either way, I am curious to see what he comes up with. It looks like the collaboration project will be completely revealed sometime in October of this year.

I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.
