Hype: Forza Horizon 3 Brings Snow Down Under In Blizzard Mountain Expansion

Before Forza Horizon 3 was launched, we knew that there would be at least two expansions on the…well, horizon.  Today, Turn 10 revealed the first expansion we can expect.  The Blizzard Mountain expansion brings a whole new campaign which will have players vying to become “King Of The Mountain.”  In addition to lots of new roads and snowy terrains, Blizzard Mountain will also add a massive frozen lake to play on including an extreme sports snow park.  Players can also expect new race types like “Hill Climb”, “Descent”, and “Blizzard” race events.

On top of the new playground to explore the expansion will also bring a new barn find, 28 new Xbox Live Achievements, and more than a few new cars.  Some of those new rides include the Nissan Titan Warrior concept, Ken Block’s Gymkhana 9 Ford Focus RS RX.

There isn’t a price for Blizzard Mountain individually, however players can buy an “Expansion Pass” similar to the “Car Pass” that will get them Blizzard Mountain and the next expansion coughcoughPorschecoughcough for $34.99.  If you own the ultimate edition of Forza Horizon 3 and purchase the Expansion Pass before the end of 2016 you’ll get $10 off.  Not a bad deal really.

The Blizzard Mountain expansion releases on Xbox Live on December 13th so we still have a little bit of a wait so you might want to consider adding it to your non-denominational holiday gift list this year.
