Petersen Automotive Museum Hosting Virtual Japanese Car Show

The Petersen Automotive Museum has reopened but things aren’t quite back to “normal” yet. Because of that, some of their usual events need to be done a bit differently.

While the Museum was closed, it actually built up quite an impressive online following by hosting “virtual tours” on YouTube.

Some of these tours are videos of the Museum’s complete collection and others focus on the cars of other notable collectors. These videos have received pretty massive viewership so the Petersen Automotive Museum is leveraging it for their next event.

Thus, their up coming Japanese Car Cruise-In will be an entirely virtual event. If you’re interested in having your JDM become a part of it, all you need to do is fill out a form and record a 90 second video talking about your car and the story behind it.

Submissions are open now and will close on May 15th, 2021 at 5pm PST. Afterwards, the Petersen Automotive Museum will pick their favorites to be part of the virtual cruise-in.

The event will air on the Petersen Automotive Museum YouTube channel on May 30th, 2021 from 8am to 9am PST.

The cruise is open to all makes and models of Japanese cars so there is bound to be a pretty good mix of new, old, and exceptionally rare. We’re looking forward to it!

Make sure you check out the guidelines before you fill out the form to enter.

Are you going to enter your car for the cruise-in? Let us know on Twitter at @MotorworldHype.
