LA Auto Show Design Challenge: Mazda KAAN

Here is another entrant from the 2008 LA Auto Show Design Challenge.  This year the theme is motorsports in the year 2025 (thank god) and all of the concepts and designs from the contestants are race car based or inspired.  This crazy looking tri-pod is the Mazda “KAAN”.  Its conceptualized as an “E1” racer whatever that means.  The important part to me is that the designers intend this car to hit speeds of 250mph with zero emissions!  Ok so while that might be a goal thats beyond lofty I can still appreciate the ambition.
