Work Wheels is adding to their “Gnosis” line with the new HS203 wheel. It is basically your classic five-spoke star wheel but the guys at Work had European cars in mind during its design. The HS203 is made to order in Japan and they have a few options laid out for users. There are five different finish options as well as the option to go full reverse-barrel (19″ or 20″) or step lip (20″ or 21″). These wheels look like they are forged but they are actually made through “low pressure casting”. Which I am sure is a much better process than traditional casting but I would like to see a new forged wheel from Work in the near future.
The CR from the Work Wheels “Emotion” line got a refresh in spoke design and in its manufacturing process. The new Emotion CR Ultimate “Kiwami” is produced using Work Wheels new “WORK Flowforming” AKA “spun forming”. In this process the barrel is made thinner without making it weaker. I’m not exactly sure how it works but it does. Either way I like the update to the look of the Emotion CR. The spokes look a bit sharper and cleaner and that is always a good thing!
Work Wheels has just been churning out new designs lately. The latest is a new take on the popular Meister line. The new Work Meister CR01 takes the Meister into a flat spoke, two piece design that I would imagine is geared towards B-spec and old school cars. The Meister CR01 only comes in 15 inch but has widths up to 12 inches available and because of the cast-center/forged barrel design the offsets are customizable within 1mm increments. There are also a few pretty fresh color combos offered up too. I can’t wait to see what people start doing with these rollers.
