The Evolution-X is another awesome racing sim seat from Playseat America.  My favorite thing about this model is that you can get it in alcantara but its over $200 less than my favorite WRC licensed Playseat.  So you still get good quality, and alcantara but with a smaller hit on the ol’ wallet!  It is a total win-win!

A brand new and tasty DLC known as the “World Class Car Pack” is now available for Forza Motorsport 3 on Xbox live.  In this new pack you get 10 cars that are all currently getting world recognition for their awesome-ness.  A few highlights on the list for me are the McLaren MP4-12C, Mercedes C63 AMG, and the 2011 Mazda2 (I get to build the 2Evil!).  As I mentioned earlier you can get the World Class Car Pack RIGHT now on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points.  If you’re short on points right now you can download the 2010 Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart for free!

I got my first up close look at the new Ferrari 458 Italia just a short while ago on the E3 show floor.  It was parked right in the middle of the Turn 10 Studios exhibit.  I have to say, after seeing it up close I don’t hate it as much as I used to!

Another awesome Forza Motorsport 3 DLC just hit Xbox Live.  Starting today players can grab the Exotic Car Packwhich is stuffed full of insane, rare, and stupidly fast cars from all over the world.  From the 2010 Gumpert Apollo S to the 2010 SSC Ultimate Aero if you’re looking for cars that will do over 220mph out of the box then this is the DLC for you.  The price is set at 400 microsoft points which is about equal to 5 bucks.  Not a bad price for 10 supercars!

The other day I tipped you guys off on the Logitech G27 steering wheel which is definitely one of the freshest wheels you can buy right now.  Unfortunately, it won’t work on the Xbox 360.  Luckily there is a solution for you Xbox owners out there who want to rock Forza 3 without using the Microsoft wheel.  Fanatec has a Porsche 911 Turbo S replica Xbox 360 compatible steering wheel!  This thing looks pretty close to the original for something meant for gaming only!  The only draw back is the steep $349 price.  You could buy an Xbox and Forza 3 for less than that but if you hate the Microsoft wheel that much or you just really love Porsches then I’d say this is worth the investment.

In the Forza Motorsport 3 VIP gift battle of the week the 2006 HKS Hypermax Mitsubishi Evo VIII time attack car destroyed the 2001BMW #6 Prototype Technology Group M3 GTR in the voter poles.  HKS’ time attack monster took a whopping 61% of the vote to the M3 GTR’s 39%.  It looks like there are a lot of tuner fans playing Forza 3!  If you want in on some of this sweet gift car action then be sure to become a VIP member in Forza 3 if you haven’t already bought your copy.  Trust me it is worth it!

I just found out today that the Mazda Furai will be a part of a new jalopnik.com DLC pack that will be available on the 9th.  There is another way to get the Furai if you follow the instructions HERE.  I would love to drive the Furai as soon as its available but unfortunately I am going to be late to the party since my Xbox 360 recently red-ringed!  Bogus!!

It has just been announced that the world famous Nurburgring Grand Prix Circuit AKA “The Green Hell” is coming to Forza Motorsport 3 as DLC on the 9th of this month for a scant 400 Microsoft points!  Anyone down for a 24 hour race on Xbox live??

Are you looking for a fun way to make $12,000?  Forza Motorsport 3 and Hyundai just announced an online Championship competition in which the winner takes home a cool $12k prize.  It looks like the structure of the competition will be a hot lap contest using a brand new Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT car designed by Turn 10 Studios.  All you have to do is go to the Xbox Live Marketplace for Forza 3 and you can download a free Hyundai Car pack that includes: the HKS Hyundai Genesis Coupe from SEMA 2008, Rhys Millen’s Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe Formula D car, and the special edition Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT car designed by Turn 10 Studios.

If racing isn’t your strong point and you’re a more artistic person there is a separate video based competition going on at the same time.  Basically you grab one of the Hyundai’s from the free car pack and try to create the most awesome 1 minute video you can and submit it to judges for review.  If your video is chosen as the best one you win a brand new Hyundai Genesis Coupe!  That’s right you can win a real car for wreaking havoc in a virtual one!  The level of badass is off the charts right now!
