Is there anything more tranquil than a lush American forrest? It is often the setting where people find enlightenment and even achieve true inner peace. On the other hand, for Ryan Tuerck the forrest is the perfect place to go rip riot at break neck speed, sideways almost the whole time. In the new “Off Seasons Two” video he does just that! Scroll down to check it out.

If you look at champions and legends in most sports you will find that most of them began their craft at a very young age. This is especially true when it comes to motorsports. Many recent F1 champions like Sebastien Vettel and Lewis Hamilton started their racing careers in go karts while they were still in elementary school. Today, there is proof that drifting is starting to go that route as well. Below is a video of a 9 (and a half) year old boy named Stavros Grillis from the Island of Kos (near Greece) hooning a proper BMW drift car around a go kart course with a thoroughly impressed journalist riding shot gun.
What is more amazing than such a young kid displaying this kind of skill, is how confident he appears to be behind the wheel. I have been on more than a few drift ride alongs with some of the best drivers in the world and few of them look as comfortable and as confident driving sideways as young Stavros does. If he sticks with it, this kid is definitely going places.
I think the best part about this story is that Stavros is living proof that drifting is not a “fad” and is not going away like many think (and some hope). The fact that a whole new generation is already setting their roots in the sport is a sign that drifting definitely has a future. I wish Stavros all the best!
Here is an additional video I just found of Stavros taking his mom on her first ride along:

A year ago Will Roegge and Joshua Herron AKA “The Neptunes” of video set fourth on a cross country journey to find and document groups and individuals who still enjoy drifting for what it is at its heart; People who are not concerned with getting competiton licenses or finding a sponsor but those who drift just because its fun. Their documentry, titled “Keep Drifting Fun” is on the verge of its debut but it is not quite ready yet, although the duo wanted to show us what they had in store so they released the official trailer which you can see below in glorious HD. For more info on “Keep Drifting Fun” find them on facebook at facebook.com/KeepDriftingFun.
The video you are about to watch is quite simply one of the best drifting videos I’ve ever seen. It is a piece that really captures the essance of street drifting (even though its wrong to do it!) and is beautifully produced. One would think that something like this would come out of Japan but everything you will watch happend all on the streets of Moscow Russia. Scroll down and watch below. P.S. stay tuned to the very end for an entertaining treat.
