SEMA is coming up at the end of the month so now is about the time when we get to see some sneak peeks at what can be expected on the show floor. Today’s preview comes from famed automotive artist Jon Sibal. It looks like he was commissioned by either Hyundai, Cosworth, or both to create a collab Genesis coupe concept. The design is very subtle appearing to be made up mostly of a lip kit, rear diffuser, and custom hood. It smells like a OEM variant to me! Is Hyundai working on a Cosworth edition Genesis coupe that can be bought straight from the dealership? I imagine we will find out in the coming weeks.

Cosworth New Product Release: 9-2-2011
Cosworth FSL Head Gaskets: Updated applications
Using technology originally developed by Cosworth for WRC Rally engines, Cosworth FSL Head Gaskets feature true cylinder head sealing technology utilizing a precision engineered stamped stainless steel gasket layer with a folded ridge acting as an imbedded cylinder bore sealing ring. Constructed from multiple layers of high grade stainless steel each application features superior construction compared to conventional multi-layer steel gaskets. Additionally, Cosworth High Performance FSL Head Gaskets are manufactured from pre-coated die cut (not laser cut) stainless steel resulting in a uniform distribution of the nitrile rubbercoating and consistent shape of the gasket. Cosworth FSL Head Gaskets are proven to perform in high-horsepower and high boost professional motorsport engines are engineered to seal in power under the most demanding conditions.
Now available in 19 new applications including Nissan VR38 and K24DE, Mitsubishi 4G63, 4B11 and Lotus /Toyota 2ZZ with larger bores sizes and a range of thicknesses and sizes to accommodate standard and oversize cylinder bores.

The wizards at Cosworth have finally released their offerings for the VR38DETT engine AKA the mill under the hood of the current Nissan GT-R. They’re offering up everything you need to toughen up the VR38DETT internals for more power including forged pistons (with a slightly higher compression ratio), forged rods, and beefier head gaskets. If you’re serious about posting your GT-R’s power then this would be a good place to start.

Its really easy to make power in an STi but most people fail to realize that whenever you significantly increase engine power its also a good idea to increase stopping power too. No one wants to drive a 500hp car that can’t stop! If you’re rocking an 08+ Subaru STi and you are looking to increase braking power up front then the sport brake kit from Cosworth USA may be a good option. The kit comes with 6-piston calipers and 2-piece slotted rotors that have a 10-30% higher airflow through them than the stock rotors.

Disclaimer: the above product is for the serious dudes and chicks only. Do NOT throw this awesome and super legit Cosworth Subaru dry sump setup kit on your WRX show car thinking it will get you extra points. This is for the dedicated track car/time attack crowd who are awesome by default.

We showed you a previewof this a while back and now the Cosworth Evo X Intercooler upgrade is officially available. According to Cosworth their upgrade kit will take less than 30 minutes to install with simple tools and increases flow by 55% over stock! Thats huge! That kind of improvement will cost you though as the MSRP is set at about $1,300. You know how it is though, got to pay for quality.

Engineers are awesome. Why you ask? Because they are always taking good things and making them better! Take Cosworth USA for instance, I just read on their blog that they are producing their own take on the Mitsubishi Evo X intercooler that will bolt right up in the stock position. They also revealed that a mandrel-bent intercooler piping kit will be available soon as well.

Word from InsideLine has it that Subaru U.K. and Cosworth U.K. have made a low key announcement that there will be a limited run of one-off Cosworth edition WRX STi’s available in their local market soon. They didn’t announce specs but representatives from both sides said that the Cosworth STi will have significant performance enhancements over the regular STi. Here’s a thought, there is a Subaru USA and there is also a Cosworth USA. How about a Cosworth Edition STi for the American market?? Cosworth? Subaru? are you guys listening? ….Please?

I spotted this at SEMA and it was instantly one of my favorite products on the show floor. What you’re looking at is Cosworth’s newest performance gadget dubbed the “Omega.” How freakin’ cool is that? Even the name is serious! The Omega plugs into the Cosworth ECPro stand alone unit and can show the user virtually every stat that has a sensor attached to it. This is definitely a slick unit and I’m not the only one who thinks so. The Omega display won the Global Media Award at SEMA. That basically means that Journalists from all over the world who were at the show picked this as their favorite product. That’s pretty boss..

Cosworth has been dropping some pretty cool apparel this year. Their new shirts are hot and they also have this Piston Power cap which as a sports style piston logo that I think will stay relevant for a long time. Good stuff Cosworth!
