SEMA 2011: D3 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

Posted on 11.09.11 | Andrew Beckford No Comments

While import cars are a big favorite at SEMA, for the last few years the modern domestic muscle has pretty much taken over.  A clean Honda Civic is still cool but it seems like these days its a tough Camaro or fresh Challenger that is turning all the heads.  Now the muscle aftermarket is going luxury with the rise of the new Cadillac CTS-V and the D3 Group has grabbed hold in a big way.  They had their CTS-V coupe on display at the show and it was making everyone stop in their tracks.  Their CTS-V coupe was flat-black, supercharged, and ready to murder anyone who thought their balls were big enough to sit in its driver’s seat.  If you have a CTS-V coupe or wagon that you are looking to mod then you might want to ring up D3 first.

SEMA 2011: EvoSoul Evo X

Posted on 11.08.11 | Andrew Beckford No Comments

Had your fill of green yesterday? We thought so.  That is why today we are kicking things off with this amazingly clean yellow Mitsubishi Evo X built by EvoSoul and Pentech Automotive.  We don’t know too much about this car other than it comes equipped with a bunch of EvoSoul goodies and Hankook tires but the clean execution of this car was enough to grab our attention.  SEMA always has its fair share of crazy over the top rides and some of them actually pull off that look well but every now and then we come across something that is clean, simple and done right.  Thus our reason for posting this lemony yellow Evo X here.

SEMA 2011: Jotech Widebody Nissan GT-R

Posted on 11.07.11 | Andrew Beckford No Comments

We realize this is the third green car in a row that we are posting but the Jotech Motorsports widebody Nissan GT-R just needs to be seen!  We can’t help it if all the best car builders decided to go with green this year!  Anyhow, even though some could argue that current Nissan GT-R is old news, we just can’t get tired of them around here.  Especially when people do crazy things with them like epically widening the rear!  It shouldn’ t look good but it does!  Jotech is no rookie when it comes to widebody treatments so it should be no surprise that their GT-R project looks so good with stretched fenders.

This GT-R is also a beast in the power department.  It makes 942HP thanks to a “stage 4″ Jotech tuning package which includes upgraded turbos by GReddy and a pletheora of internal engine components.  All of that makes this green GT-R capiable of a 9.76 second quarter mile.  Ladies and Gentlemen we give you the REAL Godzilla..

SEMA 2011: Fatlace/illest/RWB “Pandora One” Porsche

Posted on 11.07.11 | admin No Comments

We know what you are going to say.  “This Porsche is everywhere!”  Yes, it is everywhere and now it is here because it is awesome.  You have probably seen tons of pics of this car elsewhere but can someone ever really see too many pictures of something that looks this good?  This Porsche was easily one of the most anticipated builds of the show this year marking RAUH-Welt Begriff’s (RWB) official foray into the American market.  Nakai-san of RWB set up shop just across the way from the Fatlace Paddock and from that point on it was a match made in heaven!  Both Nakai-san and Mark Arcenal of Fatlace immediately got to work putting together the first RWB Porsche built on American soil and what you see here is the end result.  Nakai-san is known for naming each one of his builds, usually after a favorite brand of alcohol or borrowing from some other point of popular culture.  This build, was named “Pandora One.”  We are not sure why, but who cares!  Pandora One is beautiful, functional, and that is all that matters to us.  Expect to Pandora One at select track events in 2012.

SEMA 2011: Mansory Ferrari 458 Italia By RTW Motoring

Posted on 11.07.11 | admin No Comments

When attending the SEMA show you can always count on Pirelli to bring something special.  We still remember the year that they brought a genuine Pagani Zonda R to Vegas.  That was the first time we were able to get our grubby hands on the legendary beast.  This year the highlight of their booth was a Ferrari 458 Italia clad in the complete Mansory carbon fiber aero package built by RTW Motoring here in southern California.  One would think that the naked carbon and vents everywhere would be a turn-off but somehow this kit just seems to work.  Which, is amazing because we know that when Mansory gets it wrong they get it very, very wrong.  This Ferrari probably wont get any awards but it is easily one of our favorite cars of the show this year.

SEMA 2011: CEC Fisker Karma RESERVE

Posted on 11.04.11 | admin No Comments

On the SEMA show floor CEC  has debuted a new tuning package for the Fisker Karma called the “RESERVE”.  We don’t know all the details on this kit yet but it looks like they made a subtle but classy lip package and completed the look with a set of CEC signature wheels.  If the Karma did not look like a luxury car before it does now!  We are a fan of this package!
