This goes on our “most innovative products” list of what we saw at the SEMA show. As I was walking the halls in a small almost non-descript booth I saw this super awesome product. It’s called DashCommand by Palmer Performance. DashCommand basically turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a full OBD-II read out information center with a ton of extra stuff like a skid pad scatter plot and race track analysis. There is a ton of other stuff this thing can do but it wont all fit here so click the red text for more info.

SEMA 2009: Greddy Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Even though the 2010 Camaro was the official car of SEMA there were almost just as many Hyundai Genesis Coupes on the show floor. One of my favorites of the Hyundai set was Greddy’s Genesis Coupe. Right away I realize that the wrap design is a love/hate kind of thing but I’m on the love side of it. The JP Aero isn’t bad either but what really makes me love this car is the gobs of Greddy performance parts on it. From the upgraded turbo to the titanium tipped exhaust jutting out of the back like freakin afterburners. Greddy has developed a full list of performance parts for the coupe so consider yourself lucky if you’re already rocking one.

SEMA 2009: Premire 4509 Bentley Continental GT By Street Concepts
Yes, this is a flat black Premire 4509 clad Bentley Continental GT. Who else would build something this bad ass besides Street Concepts. Rumor has it that this bad boy is already up for sale. If you got the cash you should move on this one quick before some rich oil Shiek from Dubai snatches this up.

SEMA 2009: Tjin Edition 2010 Chevy Camaro
Neil Tjin’s 2010 Chevy Camaro was easily among the top 5 overall best in the show. In fact General Motors gave this car the award for “best GM” on the show floor and that is saying A LOT because there were some top notch GM’s there. Neil’s style has really come along way from his S14 from way back when to now although some things remain the same in his creation, such as the pin striping and the use of 3-piece forged wheels (iForged on the Camaro). It also seems like he hasn’t gotten tired of the color green yet. I’d bet many people winced when he told them he was going to build a green Camaro but looking at the finished product I don’t think he could have chosen a better color. Nice work Mr. Tjin!

SEMA 2009: AEM Intercooler For Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0
This is one of the few parts that really caught my eye when I was walking the SEMA show floor. It looks like AEM is getting into the intercooler business and their first offering being a OEM replacement for the Hyundai Geneis Coupe 2.0 intercooler. Users won’t need to make any modifications to get the intercooler to fit and according to AEM it makes an extra 12HP which is pretty freakin’ good! So far there isn’t any word on an MSRP or release date yet but we’ll keep you posted.

SEMA 2009: 2010 Ford Mustang RTR-C
I’m not the biggest fan of the Ford Mustang but even I can appreciate the fact that Ford is taking the sport of Drifting seriously by allowing Vaughn Gittin Jr. design not one but two different special edition Mustangs which will actually be sold through dealerships. The most extreme of the two designs is the RTR-C. RTR stands for “Ready To Rock”. Any guess as to what the “C” stands for? Should be pretty easy after you check out the pics. By the way, if you’re interested in picking up your very own RTR-C be prepared to fork over about $135,000 for the privilege.

SEMA 2009: Ford Focus RS
After the X-Games I didn’t think a Ford Focus would ever make it back to MotorworldHype but here I stand corrected. I didn’t know that Ford was going to bring out an honest to goodness Ford Focus RS to the SEMA show. It almost doesn’t seem right to call this thing a Focus but it is, and yet it is every bit as bad ass as an Evo or STi. Is this a sign that the Focus RS may come to the U.S.A.? Perhaps we’ll get an answer at the LA Auto Show in December.

SEMA 2009: JUN Auto Nissan GT-R Stroker Kit
There weren’t many Japanese companies at SEMA but JUN Auto was among the few to make the trip across the pond to show the American market what they had to offer. Even though their booth was small they had a ton of cool stuff to offer but what stood out to me the most was a stroker kit for the Nissan GT-R. It adds another .2 liters of displacement bringing the grand total to 4.0. Hopefully we’ll see a distributor selling this set up state-side soon so we can get some hard data on this kit. In the meantime enjoy a picture of the gleaming metal creation brought to you by the masters at JUN Auto.

SPOTTED SEMA 2009: Ventross Equipped Nissan GT-R
You might remember from an earlier post that two GT-R’s stood out to me at the SEMA show. The first was GOTO Racing’s Super Lap Car. This is cobalt blue GT-R is the second. I saw this car sans body kit at the GT-R meet at SP Engineering earlier this year and I heard rumors that he was going to pay Ventross a visit. It turns out the legends were true and the result is FRESH. I’ll be honest, when I first saw the Ventross kit I thought it would only look good in black. I happily stand corrected!

Tjin Edition Camaro
Check it out, UrbanRacer.comhas a preview of what Neil Tjin is building for SEMA this year. If the final product looks anything like the rendering then it I think this will get a lot of attention on the show floor. I look forward to seeing it in person at the show! What do you guys think of it?
