F1 2019 Official Gameplay Trailer Drops (Video)

Codemasters F1 2019 is scheduled for release in a little more than a month from now so this is the time when we finally start to get some hard details. Starting with the first official gameplay trailer which was dropped today. I’ve got to say, from what I have seen in the trailer so far, F1 2019 is going to look amazing. I’m not sure what changes they made to their engine to allow for such a significant increase in graphic detail but it is stunning.

In addition to the trailer, Codemasters has also announced the full list of classic F1 cars that will be returning for the next game in addition to the cars that will be a part of the “Legends Edition: Senna and Prost” and the “Anniversary Edition”. The list is pretty stout and there are some definite heavy hitters with the two limited editions.

F1 2019 returning classic cars:

• 2010 Red Bull RB6
• 2009 Brawn BGP 001
• 2008 McLaren MP4 –23

It was also revealed that for the first time in the franchise history, F2 will be included. The 2018 F2 championship will be available in the game at launch. The 2019 F2 championship will come later in the season in the form of free DLC.

Finally, the “Legends Edition: Senna And Prost” will actually have 3 days early access. While the standard and anniversary editions being released on June 28th 2019, the Legends Edition will drop on June 25th. Giving those players a few extra days to get a feel for things before everyone else dives in.

As it stands I’ll have the chance to go hands on with F1 2019 a little early than that as it is on our schedule for the E3 expo next month. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to give you my full first impressions there.

For now, invite you to check out the gameplay trailer below. You can also see some new screen shots and the official press release.
