F1: Toro Rosso Reveals The Honda-Powered STR14 Chassis (Video)

The Formula 1 2019 car reveal season continues today with two teams pulling the sheets off their weapons for this coming season.

In this post we’re going to take a look at the STR14 from Toro Rosso.

Though admittedly there isn’t a whole lot to say when it comes to the superficial. Obviously the STR14 has conformed to meant the new, simplified aerodynamic regulations.

It also doesn’t appear that they’ve done a whole lot to exploit any possible loop holes in the 2019 rule book, although this reveal is just a CG rendering of the car and not the physical article.

The least exciting (or more exciting depending on who you are) aspect of the car is the fact that they’ve effectively kept the same livery the team ran in 2018.

This is something that a few fans jeered about in the comments of the reveal video on YouTube. Toro Rosso’s response? “Why change a gorgeous livery?”

Well, if you’re one of the people who believe their livery is “gorgeous” then that’s a good point.

Personally, while I do like the livery, I think it would have been a bit more interesting to come up with something new.

I’d like to know what you think though. Click on any of the images above or the thumbnails below for a larger image of the STR14.

The reveal video is below the gallery as well. After checking it out, let us know what you think in the comments or tweet to us at @MotorworldHype.
