If you’re in the So Cal area and haven’t made any weekend plans then I have a suggestion for you.
At Auto Club Speedway (AKA California Speedway) this weekend, Zone 8 of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) is holding their annual “California Festival Of Speed“. A grand title is it not?
The California Festival of Speed will be a celebration of all things Porsche and include a bunch of car corals for different Porsche clubs, autocross events, time trials, various historical Porsche car displays, driving experiences, food trucks, and “Kid Pits” to reach children about motorsports and cars.
It sounds pretty awesome and technically admission is free. Though you do still have to pay for parking which is $15 bucks but if you’re a member of the PCA then it goes down to $10.
The event is two days: April 21st and 22nd (this Saturday and Sunday) and the event hours are 9am to 5pm each day so you have two chances to check it out.
If you’re a lover of Porsches or performance cars in general this definitely looks like a good way to spend a weekend.
