Forza Motorsport 7 April Update Arrives Today

After a bit of a delay, a new update has rolled out for Forza Motorsport 7 that includes new cars and a few new features.

The first part of the update is the K1 Speed April DLC Car Pack.  The K1 car pack includes a pretty cool mix of cars including something that is totally out of left field… Here is the list:

  • 1976 Chevrolet #76 Greenwood Corvette
  • 1985 Nissan #83 Electramotive Engineering GTP ZX-Turbo
  • 1948 Ferrari 166 Inter Sport
  • 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6
  • 1980 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS
  • 2017 Maserati Levante S
  • 2018 Honda Odyssey

Yes, that’s right! The Honda Odyssey minivan has come to Forza Motorsport! I’m going to mod the heck out of that thing!  I’m sure by the time you read this someone would have already re-created Bisimoto’s Odyssey in the game already.

Aside from the K1 Speed DLC pack a few new features have been added as well. The first being race telemetry.  This race telemetry function works best when spectating or broadcasting your gameplay on a service like mixter or twitch.

A new panel called “race info” will now be available which will allow viewers to see a mini map of the current track being raced on, locations of other racers, and race info like who is currently holding the fastest lap or who has had the highest speed in that particular race so far.

This feature was likely rolled out specifically because the Forza Racing Championship is going on right now and this new feature will be particularly handy for spectators.

The other new feature addition is a multiplayer test-drive mode.  As the name suggests you can now test drive cars in a multiplayer lobby.  Now if you happen to join a race that’s already in progress you can drive a car around on the same track being raced on instead of simply doing nothing while waiting for the race to end.  Personally, I think its feature is long overdue!

By now you might already have the update on your console but if not it should arrive soon.  It should also be noted that the K1 Speed DLC car pack is the last pack in the “Car Pass”.
