At E3, I finally had the chance to get my hands on F1 2017 which is easily one of my most anticipated racing games of the year. Yes, I am dying to play games like Forza 7, GT Sport, and NFS Payback but Codemasters F1 series is different.
Where the Forzas and the Gran Turismos of the world are vying to be the best driving simulator game, F1 games are all about being true to the real sport.
In a way, Codemasters F1 games are the like the “Madden” of motorsports.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to play the game for very long but I did get to try out two modes: time attack and the new “pursuit” mode.
In addition, I was lucky enough to play the game on a full Playseat Racing F1 rig.
While the version I played was running on a standard PlayStation 4, it was confirmed that F1 2017 will run at 4k 60fps on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X!
