Hype Video: Engineering Explained Inflates Balloons With S2000 Exhaust

Ever wanted to know how much air passes through your car’s engine while driving or idling?  Neither have I, but I will admit its interesting to ponder once the question has been posed.  Jason Fenske of popular YouTube channel Engineering Explained decided to potentially sacrifice his precious Honda S2000 to demonstrate how much air passes through an engine during operation.  To help visualize this Jason attached two massive balloons to the exhaust tips of his car and turned it on.

As the audience watches the balloons inflate in gleeful horror Jason proceeds to explain the math behind the air consumption of a 4 stroke engine.  Does Jason’s car survive the science experiment?  I’ll let you watch the video below to find out.  Enjoy!
