One of the reasons fans love the Forza series is because of their realistic approach to racing through visuals and physics. That makes it especially cool when they apply those principals to an imaginary vehicle! For a while now Forza has done cross-over cars with other popular franchises. Just recently, the “Chryslus Rocket 69” from “Fallout 4” was added to “Forza Motorsport 6” and came complete with the full “Forzavista” experience as well.
In another cross-over, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios announced that the famous “Warthog” from the Halo series will be coming to “Forza Horizon 3” at launch! Now, if this sounds familiar to you, its probably because back in the day the Halo Warthog was added to “Forza Motorsport 4”, but only as a “Autovista” (now “Forzavista”) display and not drivable. When he Warthog comes to Forza Horizon 3 it will be drivable for the first time in Forza history.
Given the terrain that players can explore in “Forza Horizon 3”, I can predict that drivers will have a lot of fun piloting the famous Halo vehicle. Anyone who has played Halo 5: Guardians, or Halo: The Master Chief Collection on their Xbox One console will get the Warthog as a free download on day 1 of “Forza Horizon 3’s” launch. Everyone else will get a chance to win the Warthog in a special “Forzathon” event coming this October.
