What? More E3 stuff? Yep! Although admittedly we are reaching the end of our E3 content so if you’re sick of it then take heart because its almost over! If you’re loving it then unfortunately we’re nearing the end! Anyhow, lets get down to business. There was no way we were going to leave E3 this year without playing the new Need For Speed game which is making its re-booted return after a two year “hiatus”. I use the word “hiatus” lightly because its not like Ghost Games (the development team behind Need For Speed) were taking a break. Need For Speed’s publisher, Electronic Arts decided to take their marquee racing title off its yearly release schedule to give their dev team more time to work on each title.
The newest Need For Speed is the first game to come from this new dev cycle and it definitely sets itself a part from previous titles. First, lets address the elephant in the room. The reason why this Need For Speed is simply Need For Speed with no subtitle is because this is a complete reboot of the series and it contains elements from many other previous Need For Speed games. You’ll find flavors of Underground, Rivals, Hot Pursuit and more all wrapped up into this new title. Second, lets get to the important stuff such as gameplay, looks, and experience. Luckily, I have all that wrapped up in a video below. I also had a chance to interview one of the producers from Ghost Games and pick her (Yes HER. Girl power mofos) brain about some of the creative and design choices the team made on this new title. Enjoy it all below!
