Today the guru’s at HRE have dropped a brand new wheel conceived from years of building racing wheels for teams running in IMSA and the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. The new wheel dubbed the RC103 is the first model in HRE’s new RC1 series which is meant to be a line of wheels that are light weight and suitable for racing and track days but offered at a more “affordable” price.
Like many of HRE’s offerings the RC103 is a forged monoblock one-piece wheel made from aerospace grade aluminum. Despite the RC103 being bred from racing, its 11 spoke design has a very “street wheel” look to it and I mean that in a good way. It can also clear big brake kits from the likes of Brembo. The RC103 can be had in a 5 lug pattern or as a centerlock wheel and can be custom made to order per the buyer’s specific application.
Expect to see this wheel more than a few times at the next European car meet as I expect this new model to be very popular with the BMW crowd as is the case with most HRE wheels. What do you think of the RC103? Like it? Hate it? What car do you think these wheels would look best on? Let me know in the comments or tweet us at @MotorworldHype.
