Gaming Hype: We Preview “World Of Speed” MMO Racing Game (With Video)

When most people hear the term “MMO” they think of games like World Of Warcraft and DOTA.  Adventure games seem to have single-handedly defined the MMO genre but that is slowly starting to change as other game genre’s are taking up the MMO format.  What’s most interesting to me is when racing games start to do it.  In a way, the new Forza Horizon game is something of an MMO but as its limited to consoles it wouldn’t quite have the chance to dethrone some of the other games I’ve mentioned.  Slightly Mad Studios (the team behind the up coming Project CARS) is taking on the MMO as well in their new “Free-To-Play” game World Of Speed.

Now when the idea of a free MMO racing game is presented many questions come to mind, especially: “how ‘free’ is it really?”  Luckily we had a chance to speak with the game’s director Andy Tudor at E3 2014 and discuss some of these burning questions.  You can watch it all below and you can click any of the thumbnails in this post for HD resolution screenshots!
