Over the weekend the Indy Car Series returned to wine country for the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma. As things usually go it was Team Penske and Target Chip Ganassi that dominated the rest of the field all weekend but in the end it was Penske who came out on top when Will Power took first place, Helio Castroneves grabbed second place, and Ryan Briscoe nabbed third place. This was the first 1-2-3 finish for Team Penske in a few decades! Power’s win at Sonoma closed the points gap on Dario Franchitti (who finished fourth) to just 26 points. It was a heck of a race, if you can catch a re-air on Versus then you should definitely check it out. Otherwise check out the race highlights below.
