Drift Sumi-e Presented By Calvin Wan And Fatlace

Calvin Wan has been busy in the off-season!  Over the drifting break he collab’d with Fatlace and a design firm called Objectify LLC to create a drifting game/app for the iPhone/iPod Touch that combines drifting with a Japanese form of painting called “Sumi-e“.  It looks pretty fresh but to me this is both a win and a fail at the same time.  How can it be both you ask?  Well it wins for the obvious reason that its a unique game that combines art and drifting.  However it fails because right now it is only for the iPhone/iPod Touch AKA “hipster’s idol god”.  Its great that they created a mobile app that combines one of our favorite motorsports and art all together but trendy Steve Jobs fanboy hipsters aren’t the only ones that like drifting!

I’m sure there is a good reason why this is iPhone/iPod exclusive right now but I would love to see this app for Android, BlackBerrry, and Windows Mobile devices in the near future.  So, if you have an iPhone or iPod I encourage you to download this and tell all your friends to do the same.  Because the more people who buy this app the sooner Calvin will have the resources to port Drift Sumi-e to other phones!
