It turns out that the windy city is also the land of 200+ mph 3-wide banked turns, controversy, smack talking, and photo finishes. It got ugly over the weekend at Chicagoland speedway. After a ton of circular dicing and slicing the audience saw Scott Dixon trying his damnedest to chase down Ryan Briscoe and almost did it too. “Almost” was the key word in that last sentence. In fact “almost” equated to exactly .0077 of a second! That is the fourth closest finish in Indy Car history! Since Briscoe was able to get his nose over the line first he earned himself a 25 point lead in the championship standings. However with first place netting 50 points and both Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon (33 points behind) in range and two races left in the season it can easily be any one of the top three. Stay tuned! Check out the video below for race highlights.
