These days there seems to be a lot of emphasis on supercars that do a lot of the work for you. The Skyline GT-R, the new Corvette ZR1, the Audi R8, any Ferrari or Lamborghini, all of those cars come standard with a few ingenius gadets that can make neophyte drivers feel like Michael Schumacher. Now, take a car like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS which has almost no driving aids and has a freakin’ roll-cage in it! There’s no launch control or VSC, just a 415HP flat six engine, sticky tires, and traction control that only kicks in when its actually needed.
The GT3 RS is closest thing to a street legal Porsche Cup car that someone could get their hands on and that by default makes it fresher than produce. I’ve never had the privlage of piloting one but I’ve heard taking it around the track at speed is pretty much raw driving nirvana.
We would totally take this car out to Willow Springs and peel off hot laps in this beast all day…If we had the money..
